In this post I will talk about my relatively new backpack that I got for detecting, I think I have it for about a month now. First things first: It’s awesome. Now let me explain why.
While I don’t have a lot of time with the Rush 24 I’ve had one of 5.11’s pushpack shoulderbags for years now that doesn’t show a single sign of wear and the Rush 24 looks just as tough so I have no reason to believe it will give up on me anytime soon. The overall build quality is very tough, good strong zippers and tough fabric. You won’t break it.
The big main compartment is just perfect to fit my beach scoop and the AT Pro with a little bit sticking out on top, but that’s to be expected as the handle is a good meter long. However this way I can transport both on my bicycle without problems which is incredibly useful and cost effective as I can get to most places by bicycle with ease, if not for the problem of lugging my gear around. Well, that’s fixed now.
This is the inside of the big compartment with two mesh pockets, as you can see I keep my gloves in the top one for easy access.
This is the front main pocket. I keep my U-Lock, Garrett Carrot (fun fact: You find it if you type “garrett carrot” into Amazon’s searchbar), glasses case (no longer here as you will later see), hand creme and handkerchiefs in there, as well as my wallet.
So that’s a short impression of the features, it’s a great backpack overall. If you are looking for a high quality outdoor worthy backpack this one fits the bill very well.
